Continue reading to learn all about CoolTone, including its mechanism of action, candidates, indications, treatment process, expected results, and contraindications.

What Is CoolTone?

CoolTone is an FDA-approved body contouring treatment designed to tone and strengthen underlying muscles for a more defined and sculpted physique.

The innovative technology is manufactured by Allergan, the same company that’s responsible for CoolSculpting and Botox.

How Does CoolTone Work?

While its cousin CoolSculpting relies on controlled cooling to freeze and destroy subcutaneous fat cells, CoolTone uses Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS) to strengthen, firm, and tone muscles.

More specifically, CoolTone delivers electromagnetic currents to targeted muscles in order to stimulate extremely powerful contractions.

These contractions are unlike anything that can be achieved with normal physical activity and cause muscle fibers to undergo dramatic remodeling.

As a result, fibers become thicker and stronger and improve muscle conditioning for visible firming and definition.

What Areas Can CoolTone Strengthen?

CoolTone has received clearance to strengthen, firm, and tone muscles in the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs. The device may also be used off-label to target other parts of the body including the arms and legs.

Accordingly, CoolTone is an ideal option for women and men who struggle with muscle laxity in these common trouble spots and those who have been unable to achieve a more chiseled look with diet and exercise alone.

CoolTone also offers patients a noninvasive butt lift and is an excellent alternative to a surgical or injectable butt augmentation.

Am I a Good Candidate for CoolTone?

If you are a healthy adult who wants to take your physique to the next level, you are likely a good candidate for CoolTone.

The non-invasive treatment is recommended for patients who have been unable to sufficiently build muscle through typical strength-training exercises and gym workouts.

CoolTone is also well-suited to patients who want sculpted abs, firmer buttocks, and toned thighs, but wish to avoid strict diets, grueling workouts, surgery, and invasive procedures.

What Are the Benefits of CoolTone?

There are a number of reasons that women and men are seeking body contouring with CoolTone. To start, the treatment is nonsurgical, noninvasive, and convenient. It’s performed in an office-setting and takes just 30 minutes, making in the perfect lunchtime procedure.

Plus, CoolTone requires zero downtime and doesn’t interfere with your work schedule or regular routine. Best of all, it can help you build the muscle you desire, improve core strength, and finally reach your body goals.

CoolTone Procedure

The CoolTone procedure is quick and comfortable. Patients are free to recline as the CoolTone applicator is secured to the abdomen, buttocks, or thighs.

Once the treatment begins, Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS) initiates a series of potent muscle contractions that feel similar to a rigorous workout.

However, the procedure is not painful, and most individuals spend the duration of the treatment relaxing, watching TV, or working on a laptop.

Does CoolTone Require Any Recovery?

Immediately after undergoing CoolTone, patients are free to return to work and their normal routine. They shouldn’t experience any uncomfortable side effects that would restrict activities.

The day after a CoolTone procedure, patients may feel mild muscle soreness as if they recently completed an intense workout. These effects will resolve on their own over the course of the next day or so.

CoolTone Results

CoolTone results are unlike anything most patients have ever seen before. That’s because the technology produces visible muscle strengthening, toning, and firming to produce a more sculpted abdomen, backside, and thigh area.

Optimal outcomes are usually achieved following a series of CoolTone treatments that are spaced two-to-three days apart.

Patients can note improved muscle conditioning several weeks after undergoing their last CoolTone session. These effects will continue to improve and typically peak by 12 weeks.

CoolTone vs. Emsculpt

While CoolTone and Emsculpt are both noninvasive treatments aimed at increasing muscle mass and definition, CoolTone applies 50 percent more magnetic intensity than Emsculpt.

CoolTone Cost

CoolTone cost can vary from patient to patient depending on each individual’s concerns and goals.

Accordingly, an in-person consultation with one of our body contouring experts is the best way to receive a customized assessment and accurate estimate for CoolTone cost.

CoolTone and CoolSculpting

While CoolTone generates impressive muscle strengthening and firming as a stand-alone treatment, it can also be performed in conjunction with CoolSculpting noninvasive fat removal.

This combined approach works especially well for women and men who want to eliminate localized pockets of fat as well as tone and enhance underlying muscle for a truly sculpted look.

CoolTone Contraindications

Although CoolTone is a suitable solution for a wide-range of patients and is an extremely safe procedure, it should not be used in the head or heart area or placed over metal or electronic implants/device, cochlear implants, intrathecal pumps, implanted defibrillators, implanted neurostimulators, drug pumps, and hearing aid.

Nor should an active applicator be placed over a menstruating uterus. Women may also experience increased sensitivity to CoolTone immediately prior to menstruation and should schedule treatment away from this time of the month.

Additionally, CoolTone is contraindicated in the treatment of patients with fever, malignant tumor, hemorrhagic conditions, epilepsy, pulmonary insufficiency, pregnancy, and sensitivity or allergy to latex.
