The short answer
Can CoolSculpting slim your thighs?
Yes. CoolSculpting® Elite is FDA-cleared to treat visible fat bulges on the inner thighs and outer thighs, and the fat underneath the buttocks (often called the banana roll). Controlled cooling targets fat cells, and your body clears them naturally over the next few weeks, with results developing over 1 to 3 months. At Cool Contours in Arlington, VA, every plan starts with an assessment of texture, shape and tone, because not every patient needs the same treatment.

Every pair of legs is different
Texture, shape or tone? Your plan starts with an assessment.
Some patients need one treatment on one area. Others need a combination. Not every patient gets the same plan, and yours is built around what you want to change.
Texture
Cellulite dimples
Dimples on the thighs and buttocks come from fibrous bands under the skin. Avéli® releases them in a one-time treatment, with long-term results that last at least a year.
Shape
Stubborn fat
Inner thighs, outer thighs or a banana roll that won't budge. CoolSculpting® Elite reduces the fat, usually in a series of 2 to 4 sessions.
Tone
A lifted, round, strong booty
CoolTone® strengthens and firms the glutes and thighs, in a series of 4 to 10 sessions depending on your goals.
Sound familiar?
You've put in the leg days. Your thighs are still holding on.
Spot training doesn't spot reduce
Lunges and squats tone the muscle underneath, but they can't pick which fat your body lets go of.
Your jeans feel it first
Inner thighs rub, the outer thighs pull at the seams, and shorts ride up on a warm day.
It runs in the family
Thighs are one of the most common places to store stubborn fat, often because of genetics and hormones, not effort.

Your plan
Your thigh plan in four steps
Not every patient gets the same plan. Yours is built around what you want to change.
- Assess texture, shape and toneWe assess your legs for texture (cellulite), shape (stubborn fat) and tone (muscle) from every angle, so your plan targets what you actually want to change.
- Match each concern to the right treatmentCellulite, stubborn fat and muscle tone each call for a different tool. We recommend Avéli®, CoolSculpting® Elite, CoolTone® or a combination, only where you need it.
- Map out your planSome patients treat one area with one treatment, and others combine. You'll know which areas, which treatments and about how many sessions before you start, all with little to no downtime.
- Check in and refineWe see you as results develop, recommend more only if it would make a real difference, and share any long-term maintenance recommendations.

The questions everyone asks
Thighs, answered
Which treatment is right for my thighs?
It depends on what bothers you. Cellulite dimples are texture, and Avéli® treats them. Stubborn fat is shape, and CoolSculpting® Elite reduces it. A flat or soft seat is tone, and CoolTone® builds a lifted, rounder, stronger booty. At your free assessment we’ll recommend one treatment or a combination. Not every patient gets the same plan.
How much does CoolSculpting for thighs cost?
CoolSculpting® starts at $2,999 per area, all-inclusive. Most patients see subtle changes after one session, but most do a series of 2 to 4 sessions to reach their ideal results. We’ll recommend a plan at your free consultation.
Can CoolSculpting treat inner and outer thighs?
Yes. CoolSculpting® Elite is FDA-cleared for fat on both the inner and outer thighs, and for the fat underneath the buttocks (banana roll).

CoolSculpting® and CoolSculpting® Elite Important Safety Information
This procedure is not for everyone. You should not be treated with CoolSculpting® or CoolSculpting® Elite if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or have any medical conditions including recent surgery, pre-existing hernia, and any known sensitivities or allergies.
During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, cramping and discomfort at the treatment site. These sensations lessen as the area becomes numb. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, stinging, tenderness, cramping, skin inflammation and aching. Sensory alteration (itching, skin sensitivity, tingling, and numbness) can persist up to several weeks after treatment. You may also experience throat discomfort/soreness and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment.
Rare side effects may happen in 1 to 10 out of 10,000 CoolSculpting® and CoolSculpting® Elite treatments (between 0.01% to 0.1%). One such rare side effect is a visible enlargement in the treated area, which may develop 2 to 5 months after treatment, will not resolve on its own, and may require surgical intervention for correction.

Important Safety Information
The CoolTone® procedure is not suitable for everyone. Do not use CoolTone® treatment in areas with metal, active, electrical, or electronic implants or devices such as cardiac pacemakers, implanted hearing aids, defibrillators, neurostimulators, or drug pumps.
Tell your doctor about any medical conditions, as CoolTone® should not be used over the uterus during menstruation, over areas of the skin that lack normal sensation, or in patients with fever, cancer, bleeding disorders, active infections, epilepsy, recent surgery, lung problems, or pregnancy.
CoolTone® should be used with caution in patients with Graves disease (an overactive thyroid condition); in women with an intrauterine device (IUD); and in patients with a hernia in or near the treatment site, active bleeding problems, or a seizure disorder. If you have an IUD and experience symptoms such as severe abdominal pain, cramping, spotting, or heavy bleeding develop during or after treatment, seek medical care right away.
Women who are close to their period may find that their period starts earlier or cramping becomes stronger with CoolTone® treatments. For this reason, it is best to avoid treatment during this time of the month.
CoolTone® is not recommended on certain parts of your body: the heart, head, neck, mouth, areas of new bone growth, or places with poor blood flow or reduced feeling. Do not use CoolTone® on skin that is swollen, infected, irritated, or has rashes. Applying it over scarred skin may raise your risk of burns. If you have or think you may have heart problems, tell your healthcare provider before using CoolTone®. Talk to them about any questions or concerns you may have before treatment.
