CoolSculpting Treatment Areas

Where can you get CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting can target stubborn, pinchable fat across multiple areas of the body, from the stomach and love handles to the arms, thighs, back and chin. But great body contouring is about more than choosing an area to treat. At Cool Contours, we look at your anatomy, proportions and goals as a whole to create a personalized treatment plan designed around the result you actually want.

Great Body Contouring Looks at the Whole Picture

You might come in bothered by your stomach, but that doesn’t mean we only look at your stomach.

How your stomach transitions into your waist, how your love handles shape your backline, or whether what you’re seeing is actually fat, skin or muscle can all change the treatment plan.

At Cool Contours, every plan starts with your anatomy and the result you’re trying to create, not simply the number of areas you want treated.

COOLSCULPTING FOR

Stomach + Belly Fat

The stomach is one of the most common areas we treat with CoolSculpting, but making it smaller isn’t always the entire goal.

CoolSculpting targets pinchable fat above the abdominal muscles, helping reduce stubborn pockets across the upper and lower stomach. It isn’t a weight-loss treatment, so the goal is a change in contour rather than a change on the scale.

At Cool Contours, we also look at how your stomach transitions into your waist and flanks. If muscle tone or diastasis is contributing to the shape you’re seeing, CoolTone may be part of the plan before CoolSculpting is used to refine remaining fat.

COOLSCULPTING FOR

Love Handles + Flanks

Love handles can be a relatively small pocket of fat with a big impact on the shape of your waist and back. Even when you’re happy with your overall weight, stubborn fat through the flanks can affect how your waistline looks from the front, side and back.

Rather than treating only the spot you can pinch, we look at how your flanks transition into your waist, hips and entire backline. Reducing fat in one place without considering the surrounding contour can change your proportions in ways you may not expect.

This is also an area where thoughtful placement matters. The goal isn’t simply to make the love handles smaller. We consider where reducing fat can create a smoother transition through the waist while maintaining proportions that complement the rest of your body.

At Cool Contours, your treatment plan is built around the shape we’re trying to create, not simply where you have fat. That may mean treating multiple connected areas or being selective about exactly where CoolSculpting is placed to create a balanced result from every angle.

COOLSCULPTING FOR

Arms + Underarm Fat

Sometimes what feels like an “arm problem” extends beyond the upper arm itself.

Stubborn fat can collect along the upper arm, near the underarm, or where the arm transitions into the front and back bra-line area. These relatively small pockets can change the overall shape of the upper body and how clothing fits.

CoolSculpting can reduce pinchable fat in the upper-arm area, but we don’t automatically treat every pocket we see. We look at the arm from multiple angles and consider how it connects with the shoulder, underarm and torso before deciding where fat reduction will make the biggest difference.

This is especially important around the underarm and bra line, where treating one area can change how the neighboring area appears. A great result should create a smoother transition, not simply make one isolated pocket smaller.

At Cool Contours, your treatment plan is built around the contour you want to create. That may mean focusing only on the arms or considering connected areas when doing so will create a more balanced result.

COOLSCULPTING FOR

Back + Bra Fat

Back and bra-line fat can create bulges that show through clothing even when you’re otherwise happy with your weight. These pockets can develop along the upper back near the bra line, through the mid or lower back, or where the arms and underarms transition into the torso.

Treating back fat well is about more than targeting each individual bulge. The upper and lower back connect visually with the arms, waist and love handles, so reducing fat in one area can change how the surrounding areas appear.

At Cool Contours, we evaluate the entire backline and determine which areas actually need treatment to create a smoother, more balanced contour from every angle.

You don’t need to know whether what bothers you is technically “bra fat,” “back fat” or something else. Show us what you’re seeing, and we’ll build the treatment plan around the result you’re trying to achieve.

COOLSCULPTING FOR

Thighs + Lower Body Contouring

When someone tells us they don’t like their thighs, fat isn’t always the whole story.

CoolSculpting can address stubborn fat across areas such as the inner and outer thighs, distal thigh and banana roll. But the shape of the lower body can also be influenced by muscle tone and cellulite.

That’s why a thigh consultation may involve more than one option:

Stubborn fat → CoolSculpting
Muscle tone + glute shape → CoolTone
Cellulite + dimpling → Avéli

For some patients, combining treatments creates a more complete result than asking one technology to solve every concern.

MORE THAN ONE SOLUTION

A More Complete Approach to Thigh Contouring

For many patients, the best results come from combining treatments. Depending on what’s contributing to the shape you’re seeing, your plan may include one ore more of the following:

CoolSculpting

Fat reduction

Targets and reduces stubborn fat in areas such as the inner and outer thighs, distal thigh, and banana roll.

CoolTone

Muscle tone + definition

Strengthen and tone muscles to improve overall shape and contour of the thighs and glutes.

Aveli

Cellulite treatment

The first and only FDA cleared treatment designed to reduce the appearance of cellulite in the thighs.

Not sure which treatment (or combination is right for you?

That’s what a consultation is for. We’ll evaluate the factors contributing to your lower body shape and create a plan that’s right for your goals.

COOLSCULPTING FOR

Double Chin + Jawline Fat

You don’t have to have a lot of fat for a small pocket to change your profile. Stubborn fat beneath the chin can soften the transition between the face and neck, making the jawline appear less defined regardless of your overall weight or body size.

CoolSculpting can target pinchable fat beneath the chin and around the jawline. Because this is a smaller, highly visible area, thoughtful assessment and placement are especially important. The goal isn’t simply to reduce fat, but to consider how that reduction may affect the overall shape of your profile.

At Cool Contours, we evaluate the area from multiple angles and build the treatment plan around the contour you want to create. Even small changes in the right place can make a meaningful difference in how the chin, jawline and neck transition together.

Not every concern beneath the chin is caused by fat alone. Skin laxity and anatomy can also influence what you’re seeing, which is why an in-person assessment helps us determine whether CoolSculpting is the right approach or whether another option may better match your goals.

CoolSculpting For Men

Men respond extremely well to CoolSculpting, but male body contouring isn’t simply about making an area smaller.

The stomach, love handles, and double chin are among the most common concerns we treat in men. We also evaluate select male chest concerns during a personalized consultation.

Placement matters. The goal may be to emphasize a stronger taper through the waist and torso, which means where we reduce fat can be just as important as how much we reduce.

THE RIGHT TREATMENT STARTS WITH THE RIGHT ASSESSMENT

Is It Fat, Muscle, Skin, or Cellulite?

What bothers you in the mirror isn’t always caused by fat. Changes in muscle tone, skin laxity and cellulite can all affect your shape, and treating the wrong concern won’t create the result you’re looking for.

That’s why every Cool Contours treatment plan starts with an in-person assessment. We look at what’s actually contributing to the area that bothers you, then recommend the treatment or combination of treatments that makes sense for your body and goals.

FAT | CoolSculpting

Reduces stubborn, pinchable fat to refine body contour.

MUSCLE | CoolTone

Strengthens and tones muscle when definition or muscle tone is contributing to the shape you’re seeing.

CELLULITE |
Avéli

Targets the structural bands responsible for cellulite dimples to improve skin texture.

SKIN | Sometimes Surgery Makes More Sense

When excess or loose skin is a significant part of the concern, surgery may be a better option for addressing both skin and fat.

Frequently Asked Questions About CoolSculpting Treatment Areas

CoolSculpting can reduce stubborn fat in several areas of the body, including the stomach, love handles, arms, back and bra-line area, thighs, beneath the chin and other areas when appropriate. The areas included in your treatment plan depend on your anatomy, goals and whether CoolSculpting is the right tool for the concern.

There isn’t one area that universally responds “best.” The quality of the result depends on factors such as the type and amount of fat, anatomy, applicator fit and the contour you’re trying to create. This is also a good place to eventually link the supporting blog we’re planning around this exact question.

Yes. Cool Contours has the ability to treat up to 10 areas at a time, which can make comprehensive body contouring much more efficient. But treating more areas at once isn’t always the best treatment plan.

We look at connected areas together and map your treatment based on your anatomy, goals and the result we’re trying to create. Someone concerned about their stomach may also benefit from evaluating the flanks, while someone concerned about their arms may need the surrounding underarm or bra-line area considered.

Our goal is to make your treatment as effective and efficient as possible without compromising your results just to get you out of the office faster. If an area will be better treated separately or in a different sequence, we’ll plan it that way.

No. CoolSculpting is designed for targeted fat reduction and body contouring, not weight loss. The goal is to change the shape of a specific area rather than create a meaningful change on the scale.

You don’t have to figure that out yourself. Pinchable subcutaneous fat may respond to CoolSculpting, while muscle tone, cellulite or skin laxity may require a different approach. A consultation allows us to determine what’s contributing to the contour you’re seeing.

CoolSculpting targets fat, not excess skin. If skin laxity is a significant part of what bothers you, we’ll discuss whether fat reduction alone is likely to create the result you want or whether another approach may make more sense.

There isn’t a universal number. Your treatment plan depends on the area, amount of treatable fat, anatomy and the degree of change you’re hoping to achieve.
